| In 2007 when Zoinks Magazine decided
to finish and not run anymore, Mike Rouse-Deane decided to publish
his own webcomic magazine. Simply entitled Webcomics Anonymous the
magazine would be bi-monthly, contain articles, exclusive strips
and weird interviews including a puzzle and random things many fans
and artists would never expect.
However after the first issue was published it was realised that
although it was cheap in the UK (being £1 and 50p for shipping),
America was a high priced sell and turned into roughly $4 to $5
in some cases just to get a magazine.
With the American market the biggest that bought the original Zoinks
Magazine it was accepted that the magazine wouldn't work and therefore
only one issue was printed with only 100 copies handed out. All
were handed out during several events and no profit was made from
the magazine.
There is currently a hope it will become an online magazine. |
